Take One, Framer Portfolio Template for Videographers

Challenge & Scope

Take One is a free portfolio template for videographers and directors of photography. The sample portfolio belongs to Noa Vale, a videographer and DP based in Lisbon, with six films. The work is footage, so the site is a dark stage that puts one film in front at a time.
I designed and built it, from the wordmark and the interface marks to the live site in Framer.

Approach & Implementation

Six films on a wheel. The films sit on a wheel you scroll, or move with the arrow keys. The page takes on each film's colour: Second Skin pink, Deep Woods yellow, Night Shift sand, B Side red, After Rain teal and Last Light orange.
Interface marks. The look comes from a camera's viewfinder: corner brackets, a REC timecode, a tick ruler and a film counter. They repeat on every page. Type is Antonio for titles, Inter for the interface and Instrument Serif italic for small captions.
Grid view, about and contact. A grid view lists all the work with one film active, and the about and contact pages close the site. There is a phone layout too.
