Home Front is a brand-new Sydney residential design and construction studio. The founder shot his own videos and made his own logo to keep costs down, and needed a site that looked legitimate enough to start winning business immediately, not a showcase piece. I designed and built the full single-page site in Framer on a fixed budget and tight timeline.

The site had to carry six client-shot videos as its main storytelling device while staying fast on mobile, a genuine tension since autoplaying video is usually the slowest thing on a page to load. It also needed a heading that swapped in sync with one of the videos, a subtlety that had to hold up across every device and connection speed.

I built the video-swap heading as a custom code component that reads the video's own playback time directly rather than a page timer, so it never drifts. For mobile speed, I placed a real image layer behind the autoplay hero video in the same frame, so the image paints first and becomes the measured load while the video still plays on top. That got mobile load time under the 2.5 second target without giving up the video-led hero the client wanted.

Beyond the hero, the build includes a full team and advisory panel section, a values section built from scratch, and a contact form with a custom confirmation message. The client reviewed every stage closely across desktop, tablet and mobile, so the build went through several rounds of detail fixes: favicon contrast, button wiring, copy edits, before final sign-off.

The site launched on the client's own custom domain, homefront.build, with a full SEO pass and cross-browser QA, ahead of the client's own trip so it was live before he needed to send it to prospects.
