The Challenge

The project involved developing a logo for their annual fundraiser using their existing icon, as well as designing an event program, menu, and stage backdrop.

❌ The only artwork they had to work with was a low-resolution .jpg which didn't show the entire icon and was encapsulated within the letter "O".

❌ I needed to stay as close to the original icon as I didn't want to impact their existing marketing materials and force them to spend money on new materials.

Impact

✅ A Vibrant New Icon: With the client's blessing, I re-illustrated the icon and created the back feathers as I imagined they'd appear. I also created a color version as well based on cultural examples I'd researched online using the colors of the flag of Ghana.

✅ High-Resolution Art: I was also able to recreate the client's main logo and, as a bonus for them, give them high-resolution versions for future use.

✅ Extra Revenue Source for the Client: The new logo allowed them to place it on merchandise, such as logo tees and coffee mugs, which gave them an extra fundraising revenue source.
