Trash Pickers is a waste logistics platform designed to simplify and modernize waste collection. The platform connects customers, waste collectors, and administrators through a streamlined system that makes scheduling pickups, managing operations, processing payments, and tracking collection activities more efficient.
The goal was to move waste management away from manual coordination and create a structured digital experience that improves convenience for customers while giving operators greater visibility and control over daily operations.

Problem Statement
Waste collection in many communities is still managed through phone calls, manual scheduling, and fragmented communication channels.
This often leads to:
1. Delayed pickups
2. Poor visibility into collection status
3. Difficult coordination between collectors and administrators
4. Limited operational oversight
5. Frustrating customer experiences
6. There is a need for a more organized and scalable solution that improves efficiency for everyone involved.
Goals and Objectives
The primary objectives of the project were to:
1. Simplify waste pickup scheduling.
2. Improve communication between stakeholders.
3. Provide customers with real-time visibility into pickup requests.
4. Create a structured workflow for waste collectors.
5.Give administrators better control over daily operations.
6. Reduce inefficiencies in waste collection management.
Design Process
1. Research & Discovery
I explored common challenges within waste collection systems and identified key pain points experienced by customers, collectors, and administrators.
2. User Flow Mapping
I mapped the journey of each user type to understand how they would interact with the platform and where improvements could be introduced.
3. Wireframing
Low-fidelity wireframes were created to establish layout structure, navigation, and information hierarchy.
4. UI Design
High-fidelity interfaces were designed with a focus on clarity, usability, and accessibility while maintaining a clean and modern visual style.
5. Prototyping
Interactive prototypes were created to demonstrate core user flows and system functionality.
