Skandilo - Bespoke Framer and Shopify Website

Francesco Gallo

I designed and built the first website for Skandilo, a Finnish furniture and interior objects brand from Jyväskylä, founded by designer Dr. Simo Lehtonen. Its pieces in walnut, ash and marble are shaped as organic architecture for the home: calm, reduced and made to last. The result is a bespoke Framer experience with Shopify behind it, launched for the brand's debut at Salone del Mobile.Milano.
A desktop and mobile navigation session: a general overview of the site's calm, natural flow.

The brief

Skandilo had no website. It needed one that could stand among established interior design brands with the same restraint and clarity, while showing a strong identity of its own. It had to feel organic and alive, never static, just like the furniture. The goals were brand presence, awareness and new conversations with architects and interior designers, while also speaking to private clients.

The approach

I led the project end to end: art direction, research, content architecture, UI design, development and launch. The site breathes: generous space, quiet typography and slow, natural movement let each piece and each material be seen properly. The structure follows how professionals actually work, with dedicated sections for products, materials and projects, plus downloadable technical sheets for specification. Behind the bespoke Framer front end sits Shopify, which manages the catalogue today and is ready to handle sales, so the design stays fully custom while the commerce side stays solid and scalable.

Moodboard and explorations: nature as material language, the colour palette and an early UI exploration of the product page.

The result

The site launched in April 2026, just ahead of Skandilo's debut at Salone del Mobile in Milan. It currently works as a refined catalogue. The next chapter is already in progress: a real-time 3D configurator that will let clients shape each piece directly on the site, opening online sales alongside it in the coming months.
Key desktop views: product category, material details with care manuals, and the about page.

The live site may have evolved since launch, as it continues to be managed and updated.
