Pillowplay is a platform that transforms books into audio playlists designed for relaxation, sleep, and mindful listening. The experience focuses on calm, ease, and seamless transitions from reading to listening.

The objective of this project was to design a short loading animation that visually communicates Pillowplay’s core function. The animation needed to feel smooth, soothing, and intuitive, while subtly explaining the process of converting written content into audio experiences.

The animation uses flowing iconography to represent books transforming into audio playlists. Elements move toward the viewer and merge seamlessly, reinforcing the idea of conversion and continuity. Motion timing and easing were intentionally soft to align with Pillowplay’s sleep-focused, calming brand tone.

The final loading animation provides a clear and pleasant visual cue during wait times, reinforcing Pillowplay’s purpose without overwhelming the user. Version 1 establishes a strong foundation for future iterations while enhancing the overall user experience through thoughtful motion design.
