Brand Identity Design for Petal & Steam Café

Petal & Steam was created to be more than a café—it’s a modern botanical haven where people can slow down, sip intentionally, and feel good. The brand serves herbal teas, floral lattes, and plant-based pastries inside an indoor-garden lounge. Its mission is to blend nature, mindfulness, and aesthetic indulgence into one everyday ritual. The purpose is simple: to prove that self-care can be delicious, design-forward, and accessible. The audience? Wellness-minded, design-savvy Gen Z and Millennials who love soft palettes, cozy spaces, and shareable moments.
With that in mind, I built a playful-yet-peaceful identity: soft pastels anchored by Espresso Brown, bubbly typography, and whimsical flower-headed characters rendered in minimalist line work. Studio-clean product shots, neutral packaging, and gentle floral accents keep everything calm and premium, while the illustrations inject warmth, charm, and memorability. The system flexes—from interiors and menus to merch and social—without ever losing its botanical soul.
This creative direction helps Petal & Steam stand out from sterile specialty coffee and overly rustic wellness cafés by feeling both crafted and joyful. It attracts a community that values design, ritual, and feel-good ingredients, and it’s inherently Instagrammable, boosting organic reach through UGC, stickers, and character-led storytelling. In short: it’s mindful, modern, and irresistibly shareable—sip. bloom. repeat.
