The question is collectively discussed in the "Future of Food" campaign of Kitchen Stories collaborated with Vodafone. It's a pre-launch campaign aimed to increase the awareness of the augmented reality cooking application of Vodafone as well as the new AR glasses from NReal. We want to explore what the future of food might hold, and how technologies like the AR glasses can be part of it.

In order to have a glance of the future more intuitively, illustration becomes the way to present the futuristic experiences around food, taking people into the unknown culinary journey through time. I'm super excited to share my illustration works for the article series of this campaign, for which I also had a chance myself to have a sneak peak of the future of food. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

It's only been 54 years since the invention of the microwave. How could cooking look like in 50 years from now? From cooking with AR glasses to molecular cuisine and engineered food, the article along with the illustrations shows how technology and gadgets will shape the future of cooking.​​​​​​​

How will we be able to feed every member of a growing population? This article gives an introduction of the technologies that will change agriculture: vertical farming, IoT smart farming, drones, and so on.

Hanna, our test kitchen manager and chef at Kitchen Stories, prepared a futuristic Cobb salad using augmented reality. Meanwhile, we continued with the salads from the future and asked other colleagues what they would imagine it could look like. And I illustrated some of the very interesting, futuristic ideas below. ​​​​​​​
