Samurai BLAQUE: Music Brand Site, Beat Store and Artist Portal
Most producers rent their storefront from a marketplace that takes a cut and keeps the customer. Samurai BLAQUE sells on its own rails, and now the site around the store looks and sounds like the label too.
Samurai BLAQUE is the studio's own music label. This is owned-brand work: we designed it, built it and run it.
The brief
Two jobs at once. Keep the beat store selling directly, with checkout created on the server and files delivered by email. Then rebuild the whole site so a visitor feels the brand before they hear a note: a world to enter, music that keeps playing as they move around, and a store that matches the label instead of a generic dark template.
The idea
Make the site a scene. A red sun, a torii gate, a lone samurai under a tree. The landing page asks you to enter, with sound or without, and the label's track starts as you cross in. From there a persistent player follows you through the store, the booking page and the artist sign-in.
Inside the world: the "Samurai Scent" player, the scene behind it, and the site-wide player pinned top right
The store, introduced like a label release: untagged beats, WAV and MP3, delivered by email
How it is built
The remake is written in plain JavaScript, HTML and CSS on its own branch and runs as a static site with server functions. The store reads its catalogue from an endpoint rather than hardcoding it, so a product can be pulled without editing the page. Checkout sessions are created on the server with Stripe, price IDs stay in environment variables, and no card data touches the label's own servers.
Before and after: the store that is live today next to the JavaScript remake, same catalogue
The remade store: three packs as release cards, play buttons on every card, licence terms stated before checkout
The artist side got the same care. Artists sign in to a private listening room to hear the tracks assigned to them. Before this round shipped, the hub went through a full production audit of its sign-in, sessions and file serving. Every critical and medium finding was fixed, and the remaining items are written down with a decision next to each one.
Booking and the artist portal: an inquiry path for shows and features, and the private listening room sign-in
What a client gets
A brand site that works as a place, with commerce you own. For a label, an artist or a creator: a world built from your visual identity, music that plays across pages, direct sales without a marketplace cut, and a members area that has been checked like production software.
Work with us
If you sell music, merch or drops and want the site to feel like the brand, tell us what you are releasing next.
A music label's site remade as a cinematic world: enter-to-listen intro, site-wide player, an owned beat store on Stripe, and a hardened artist portal.
