Interactive Transmedia Storytelling

100 Families WA aimed to transform years of research on poverty into a lasting, accessible product. The interactive storytelling website, titled "Our World," humanized poverty through the stories of four individuals, with sections allowing users to explore different aspects of their lives, supported by stats and insights. To ensure accessibility, the final product needed to present information in multiple formats—text, audio, and images—allowing a wide range of users to engage.

I was involved from the early stages, exploring narrative options and helping shape the design approach. I created wireframes, the final website layout, recorded audio, and handled photo montages to blend stock photos with real images in a way that resonated with a Western Australian audience.

The project made complex research accessible to a broader audience beyond academia, using interactive storytelling, with audio and visual elements to enhance engagement and prompt reflection on poverty in Australia.
