A series of communications were shared within the company (a healthcare fintech company based in NYC), highlighting news and updates related to the relocation and construction of a newly built headquarters.
What did you talk about?
I talked about all kinds of fun stuff like the following:
Move-Out Prep
New Office Construction Series
HQ Guide - a playbook consisting of static details related to the new headquarters that provide context to policies and procedures as well as instructions for each area of the office
Whew, that was a lot! Where did this info live?
The communication series was shared in three ways: via a concise email message with hyperlinks to relevant materials when mentioned, via a short-form Slack message with applicable hyperlinks to materials and channels where necessary, and via Confluence in long form for posterity.
I also used Google Slides for our playbook and Google Docs for real-time editing and final approval.
Nice. Who did you work with on this project?
I collaborated with stakeholders across multiple teams within the company, including:
IT
Internal Communications
People Experience (senior-level)
Marketing
Finance
Engineering
Anything else?
I was fortunate enough to be free to write in a personable narrative voice that read well with the team and engaged them in the material being shared. My communications were dense at times, but with a sprinkle of gifs and a dash of personality, I was able to convey a strong message that was memorable and recognizable.
