Overview:
Currently working as a medical interpreter in a call center. I help doctors and nurses from North America (USA and Canada) communicate with Limited English Speakers. The specialists we work with are from any specialty within the medical field (Obstetric-gynecologists, pediatricians, neurologists, cardiologists, etc.).
Highlights:
It can be quite challenging when the news that needs to be delivered isn't good or the patients are not in their best mood. However, telling patients that they are cancer free or in remission or giving them good news is definitely a highlight.
