About The Project

CloudForecast helps companies monitor and optimize their AWS cost with simple and easy-to-understand reporting. Our goal as a product is to provide features that are quick and easy to understand, which in turn helps your engineering team save time and money on AWS without significant effort.
Building analysis and pulling the reports on your AWS cost can be a time-consuming, manual, and mind-numbing processing. The features CloudForecast provides speed up this process and gives you the data to make decisions on cost monitoring, and optimization and eliminate possible wasted AWS cost. CloudForecast wants your engineering team to focus on technical priorities that will actually help move your company forward and not mind-numbing financial reporting.

Problem

CloudForecast reached us with a straightforward request website that would boost customer engagement. Their old site was causing several problems, including a convoluted customer path, unstructured content with repeating sections, and hampering their ability to identify its main features. These issues were negatively impacting CloudForecast and had to be resolved ASAP. To cope with all project’s pain points and move forward with a more efficient website.

Solutions

To address the client’s concerns, we decide to design a custom website that streamlined the user flow and made the content structured to avoid users from hampering the ability to identify its main features. I designed a clean and user-friendly interface that simplifies the customer path; quick and easy registration by starting a free trial; and logical navigation to enhance the user experience. All these solutions aimed to create a trustworthy and recognizable identity for CloudForecast.

In-depth Competitive Research

To create a standout brand for CloudForecast, I start by analyzing competitors with similar services and the same target audience. During the research, I noticed that major competitors of the platform in this field lacked consistency and modernity in the details, lacked eye-catching details, and smooth user flow.
With this info in mind, I aimed to create a minimalist concept with light gradient accents and intuitive navigation, a modern graphic to represent the actual features, providing users with the best experience presenting CloudForecast.

Information Architecture

With all the requirements that I already have, I started organizing and structuring the content with Information Architecture so CloudForecast can have a big picture and understand how the pieces fit together.

A/B Testing

To keep maintain effective working time as well as not time-consuming, I started to design the concept and came up with two options for CloudForecast. These two initial concepts will help CloudForecast in order to see which one performs better for its strategy, targeting, and goals. After several days, ClouForecast comes back with very positive feedback.

The Results

I crafted a comprehensive rebrand with a new visual identity, messaging/positioning strategy, simplifying the customer path, logical navigation to enhance the user experience, and also a consistent look and feel across all the pages.
As you can see below, my efforts successfully deliver resulted in a practical, clean, and human-oriented design.
