Useful tips and tools! 💡

Debora is a business, life improvement and relationship coach I worked with from March 2021 to October 2021. I stumbled upon her job offer on LinkedIn: she was looking for a video editor for her two YouTube channels Simply Debora, on a per project basis, and Debora Campailla Coach, on a more full-time basis.

On her coaching channel, Debora's videos were more so educational, containing useful information and tools to better oneself/an aspect of one self's life! 👍🏾

After downloading the raw video(s) and potential additional resources, I had to:

Trim down a 50-ish minute long raw video to the anticipated final length,

Add chapter titles,

Zoom ins and zoom outs,

Royalty free stock footage and images if necessary,

Impacting text,

Infographics,

Colour grade the video non-destructively (via an Adjustment Layer)

Sound effects and appropriate royalty free music,

Finally, export and send! ✨

As I was getting comfortable, I sometimes added visual effects:

give some text a writing animation:

and added thought bubbles:

Once a video is validated after revisions, it's scheduled to be released and I wait for my next project! 😉

The difficulty resided in finding appropriate stock footage, music and additional resources as it tended to be time consuming.

Good organization and time management was the key! 🔑
