A boutique patisserie concept translating French-inspired desserts into a modern luxury experience through refined logo, color, typography, and premium packaging.
The Challenge
Create a visual identity as refined as the desserts themselves. The brand needed to move away from overly sweet bakery tropes and instead position closer to a high-end jewelry or fragrance house—luxurious yet warm, curated yet inviting.
The Approach
I started with strategic discovery, researching French patisseries, luxury packaging, and competitor brands to define Doux & Doré's core attributes and position. Building moodboards from French interiors, patisseries, and high-end packaging, I explored how to visually balance refinement with approachability.
From there, I iterated on the D&D monogram, logotype, color palette, and typography system—testing combinations across pastry boxes and print pieces to ensure consistency and hierarchy. I refined proportions, materials, and foil accents using realistic mockups to validate how the identity would work in a retail setting.
The Solution
The final identity centers on a monogram-led logo system with the D&D mark encircled in a simple frame, paired with an elegant wordmark that feels timeless and confident.
The palette of Rose Poudré, Crème Douce, Bleu Gris, Terre Brûlée, and Or Doré gives the brand soft, earthy warmth while still feeling upscale. Typography balances refined serif details with clean sans-serif support for clear hierarchy
Premium pastry boxes in varying sizes and colors feature subtle foil accents and structured layouts that echo luxury packaging categories. Every touchpoint reinforces quiet indulgence and handcrafted quality.
The Impact
Doux & Doré now presents as a thoughtful, craft-driven patisserie with a timeless, modern presence. The flexible system works seamlessly across all touchpoints—from logo to packaging to print—creating a cohesive brand experience that positions each dessert as a curated object.
