Delacook Portfolio Website Design and Development

This was an internal project we did to showcase our work on design and development. In just a couple of weeks we were able to go from idea to launch and have a fully integrated CMS to manage our content using Webflow.

We created the designs using Figma. Our starting point was to set the color palettes, developing the primary and secondary colors, based on the brand color, and testing these out in different tones and on light and dark backgrounds.

Once the color palettes where solid, we continue to apply them to UI elements, which always helps to test them further and see how they behave on type, vs fills, vs borders.

To quickly visualize the templates we needed to creates as well as to define the content that would be needed, we sketched wireframes in Miro. This gave us a blueprint for both the designs to be mocked up and for the CMS database.

We continued the design process in Figma by layout out the pages utilizing the design system. We iterated though multiple versions of the design, launching first with a very basic and minimal design, and progressively we added to and refined until getting it to the point we are. Which of course will continue to evolve with time.

Using Webflow for the implementation made the development process very quick. Since we didn't have to code anything and were able to focus on matching the design 100% to the mockups, and on creating the different data sets that we were going to use and connecting them to the CMS.

In less than a week we were able to implement our website design, including 100% full responsiveness.
