Birdsong believes that childhood is a song waiting to be sung, filled with laughter, curiosity, and boundless imagination. I set out to design a clothing collection and branding that celebrates the spirit of childhood, infusing each pattern with bright, lively colors and charming designs that inspire wonder and delight. These colors and designs are incorporated into the rest of the brand’s identity and advertising.

I hand-illustrated the logo for Birdsong: A small swallow with loosely drawn stars on each wing, another allusion to the carefree nature of childhood. I was inspired by the glow-in-the-dark stars that stuck to the ceiling of my childhood bedroom.

The soft, rounded edges featured in the typography, logo, and pattern designs I selected and created for Birdsong convey a sense of warmth and friendliness which appeals to both kids and the parents shopping for them.
