A simple futures calculator for traders — calculate position size, leverage, and risk instantly.
🚩 Problem
Many new crypto traders struggle with risk management — they tend to oversize positions and blow up accounts because they don’t know how to calculate the right position size or leverage for each trade.
✅ Solution
I designed and built a free, simple web app that lets traders calculate their ideal position size, risk amount, and reward-to-risk ratio in seconds. It helps them stay disciplined and avoid costly mistakes, especially when trading futures with high leverage.
📱 Responsive Design
Traders can easily enter their portfolio size, set their risk %per trade, and add an entry, stop-loss, and take-profit prices — all while on the go.
Quickly input position details anywhere, anytime.
Once traders hit 'Calculate', the tool displays the recommended position size, the exact leveraged amount, the maximum risk in USD, and the risk-to-reward ratio, allowing them to immediately assess whether it’s a good trade setup or not. 🤔
Instant clarity on position size, risk, and R:R ratio after calculation.
⚡ What I Did
Short, punchy bullet list:
Simplified complex position sizing into an intuitive, step-by-step flow.
Support multi-language (EN/ID)
Optimized for fast load & mobile usability.
🌟 Impact
This calculator is now helping Ardalyn’s followers trade safer and size their positions properly, especially beginners who tend to oversize.
In its first days live, the tool handled 9,400+ requests with active users from Indonesia, US, Singapore, Japan, and Malaysia.
Live stats: 9,400+ requests in past 24 hrs (~11.5K requests for the past 27 hrs)
Proof that it solves a real risk management problem for traders around the world.
💭 Closing Thoughts
Many traders get caught up chasing profit and forget the real game is staying alive, avoiding oversized positions that blow up accounts overnight. 💥
That’s why I loved building this: a tool that flips the focus from profit-only calculators to risk-first position sizing, just like Ardalyn always reminds her community.
I’m excited to keep making clear, practical solutions like this.
If you need help building tools that solve real problems, I’m open for new projects and collaborations. Let’s create something useful together! 🚀
