Last summer eBay coached collectors and aspiring collectors at the first-ever training camp for collectibles, granting them the knowledge and confidence to elevate their skills and collections to the next level.

The Collectors Camp event took place in New York, gathering passionate collectors and enthusiasts to explore a wide range of products available on eBay. Additionally, attendees could participate in various sport activities such as collection exhibitions and basketball drills, providing a space where they could share their love for collecting and find inspiration for their next acquisitions.

The event offered an immersive experience designed to celebrate the diversity and passion for collecting in all its forms, from art and pop culture articles, to vintage pieces and exclusive fashion items. Collectors also had the chance to learn tips and tricks to enhance their collecting skills, learn about the latest trends, and uncover new finds on eBay.

To reinforce the power of collecting and communicate the connection between sports and memorabilia, we created a visual system based on various sports courts, the place where the true action happens. There is nothing more representative of sports than its fields. That’s why we integrated the visual codes of each sport into a responsive design system for the Collectors Camp logo. The courts were not only the spaces where we showcased collectible items, but also our inspiration for the aesthetics and visual codes of our design system.
