One of the projects I’m most pleased with: the research phase of my master’s thesis in Media Design. I was contracted by a music school to explore how music programming could best serve seniors in nursing homes.
I began with an open question: how can music best be used inside of a nursing home? I dove into field research, literature reviews, and environmental scans to uncover where the need really was. The clearest issue? Loneliness, and its deep impact on residents’ quality of life.
My work focused on designing participatory music interventions aimed at fostering connection, building community, and ultimately improving wellbeing for seniors.
Through visual storytelling and design, this book transforms an academic thesis into an engaging editorial experience to make complex research accessible.
