AstroDriver is a visual development environment for managing cloud infrastructure. The audience is technical (CTOs, VPs of engineering, software engineers), but the product needed a marketing site that communicates clearly without dumbing things down. The design had to work across desktop and mobile.

The client provided two things: page copy from a professional copywriter, and a brand style guide. They also pointed to a specific visual reference: NASA JPL's "Visions of the Future" retro-futuristic poster series. That set the tone for the entire visual direction.

I started by mapping page structure and connections to understand how users would move through the site. The JPL poster aesthetic informed the visual language: bold color blocking, geometric shapes, and a sense of scale that fits a product about infrastructure.

From there, homepage wireframes in desktop and mobile to lock down layout and content hierarchy. Once the homepage direction was approved, I built the UI system: typography, color palette, buttons, cards, and section patterns all rooted in the style guide and the retro-futuristic reference.

Internal pages followed the same cycle: wireframe, review, UI application, final refinement. Each page stayed consistent with the system without feeling repetitive.

The final delivery covered all pages across desktop and mobile. The design bridges a technical product with an approachable, visually distinctive identity. The JPL-inspired aesthetic gives AstroDriver a look that stands out in a space where most dev tool sites default to the same dark-mode template.

It was very interesting to base the site's branding on the style of a poster. This project helped me work from a new perspective on inspiration and explore new creative directions.
