WaTuDo - Mobile App Design

Event discovery app designed from flowchart to final UI. Users find nearby events by proximity, travel time, cost, and category.

The Problem

WaTuDo needed a mobile app that helps people find nearby events fast. The core idea: search by proximity, travel time, cost, and category of interest. The app had to feel inviting across very different contexts (nightlife, family, outdoor, community).

Starting Point

The client came with a clear vision for the tone: exploration meets community. No existing design, no brand system. The brief was broad enough that the first job was defining structure before anything visual.

Process

I started with a flowchart to map the full app structure and user flow. This locked down how search filters, event listings, and detail views connected before any screen was designed.
From there, wireframes for both desktop and mobile. The focus was on making the search-to-event path as short as possible: filters up front, results by proximity, details one tap away.
For the UI, I built a color system that could stretch across very different event categories (a nightclub and a family picnic need to coexist without clashing). The palette leans vibrant but stays readable.

Result

The final delivery covered the complete app flow across devices: search, filtering, event detail, and category browsing. Every screen followed the same component system, keeping the experience consistent from first search to event detail.
