Non profit based in Oakland, CA:

The Octavia Fund is an amazing initiative that's providing a much-needed sanctuary for Black women. Drawing inspiration from the legendary writer Octavia Butler, the fund aims to create an environment where women can rest, dream, and re-envision their future. Their work is steeped in warmth and authenticity, with a focus on empowering these women to step away from constraints and dive into a space of abundance. I find their commitment to building a supportive community and promoting self-care truly inspiring.

🎯 Brand Goals:

The Octavia Fund seeks to enhance recognition, appeal to individuals and foundations, create an inviting digital presence, foster community bonds, and secure aligned partnerships to support black women.

⭐️ Brand Strategy:

Step One: Defining Brand Goals ➡️

The Octavia Fund aims to redefine the narrative for Black women, fostering a space of rest and creativity. We strive to transform funding mechanisms, attract significant support, and serve 100 women annually while enhancing our brand visibility and fostering community connections.

Step Two: Identifying the Target Audience and Addressing Gaps ➡️

The Octavia Fund targets Black women in need of rest and creative revitalization. Current gaps lie in the scarcity of abundant, supportive spaces and comprehensive funding strategies for Black women.

Step Three: Crafting a Visual Identity ➡️

The Octavia Fund's visual identity echoes warmth and transformation. We use rich, earthy colors, a bird-on-horizon logo symbolizing freedom and vision, and a thin serif font to invoke tradition and sophistication.
