Branding and Website Design

Introduction

Hands Offering Hope is a nonprofit organization that empowers youth in Quintana Roo through education, training, and mentorship. Their culinary program helps students build professional skills and create opportunities for a sustainable future. In addition, to designing a charity microsite, I collaborated with the a marketing agency to help Hands Offering Hope redesign their homepage with the goal of increasing engagement, inspiring generosity, and visually reflecting the energy and optimism of the youth.

The Rebrand: Bringing Hope to Life I introduced a vibrant color palette to communicate the organization’s youthful energy and optimism. Warm reds and bright accents symbolize passion, growth, and transformation, while dark blue provides balance and trust — grounding the visuals in professionalism and purpose.

Typography System The rebrand uses a mix of Neue Corp and Cabin, maintaining the brand’s original typography but giving it new life through thoughtful pairing:
Neue Corp delivers a sense of modern energy and forward momentum.
Cabin adds approachability and warmth, staying true to the organization’s friendly tone.

Homepage design The new homepage tells the story of Hands Offering Hope through a clear visual hierarchy and compelling calls to action. Vibrant imagery of students in action, dynamic headlines, and uplifting colors invite visitors to connect emotionally and take the next step, whether that’s learning more, volunteering, or donating.

The result is a cohesive and inspiring digital experience that reflects the heart of Hands Offering Hope. This project reminded me that great design creates emotional connections. By blending strong visual storytelling with UX strategy, I helped Hands Offering Hope turn their digital presence into a platform that truly embodies their mission. Since then, the organization has taken a different branding direction and changed its name to OIDO.
