SaveToFigma - Figma plugin to collect design inspiration

Overview

SaveToFigma is a Figma Plugin along with a Chrome extension that lets designers save, organize and easily import design inspiration found on web. The project was built with Svelte, Tailwind and Firebase.

The Clipper

The clipper is the chrome extension used to capture screenshots of websites. When an authenticated user clicks the extension icon, two options were provided - either to capture an area of the screen or the whole visible area.

The images can then be organized with tags and collections and saved to firebase.

Figma Plugin

The collections can be browsed from the figma plugin and captured images can be imported in to the figma file with a single click.

Images can be searched, filtered and re-organized from within the plugin.
