About Project

NOIRE is a minimalist fashion brand crafted for individuals who value simplicity, elegance, and self-expression. Their philosophy redefines fashion as a reflection of individuality, empowering wearers to express themselves authentically. Their objective was to establish a strong and cohesive identity that embodies this minimalist philosophy. They approached Sakma Studio to create a complete visual and verbal narrative and build their primary digital flagship, an e-commerce website. 

Problem

In the competitive minimalist fashion market, "minimalism" can often be misinterpreted as cold, generic, or lacking in personality. NOIRE faced the challenge of creating a brand identity that was not only simple and elegant but also felt authentic, warm, and empowering. They needed a cohesive visual and verbal system that would resonate with a modern audience's desire for "simplicity and refined living," while clearly communicating the brand's unique philosophy of "self-discovery."

Discovery & Brand Strategy
Collaborated directly with the NOIRE founders to deeply understand their philosophy of "timeless aesthetics and refined details."
Conducted competitor analysis in the minimalist fashion space to identify opportunities for authentic differentiation.
Defined the brand's verbal narrative and a sophisticated, empowering brand voice that would resonate with their target audience.
Visual Identity & Brand Implementation
Developed a timeless, elegant logo and a refined (likely monochromatic) color palette that reflects the "NOIRE" name.
Created a full brand guidelines document, including typography standards and art direction for photography.
Designed a complete system of brand implementation assets, including minimalist packaging, digital lookbook templates, and cohesive social media graphics.
Developed compelling copywriting for product descriptions, website sections, and initial marketing campaigns.
Website Design & Ecommerce Development
Designed a high fidelity, responsive e-commerce website in Figma with a strong focus on minimalist aesthetics, beautiful typography, and an editorial feel.
The UI/UX was crafted to be an effortless and premium browsing experience, allowing the "refined details" of the products to stand out.
Developed the pixel perfect website in Framer, incorporating a full CMS for collections/lookbooks and a seamless e-commerce backend.
