The LMAO Comedy Festival is not an average comedy event. It is a platform for comedians to address pressing issues with humor and insight, aiming to spark dialogue and challenge norms. By exploring the transformative power of comedy, the LMAO Comedy Festival promotes a broader perspective and a more open-minded society.
Drawing inspiration from the rich history and essence of comedy festivals, the design concept for LMAO Fest revolves around the idea of humor as a tool for addressing pressing societal issues. Extensive research and creative exploration led to the development of a concept that embodies both provocative and entertaining elements, with the goal of igniting conversations and disrupting norms through the power of laughter.
Leveraging visual words such as Provocative, Loud, and Entertain, the design process focused on creating a versatile visual identity that could be applied across various platforms. The use of a rubber chicken as an off-screen approach not only nods to classic comedy but also represents the loud voices of comedians addressing serious topics in a lighthearted manner.
Vibrant colors, bold typography, and playful graphic elements were carefully chosen to ensure brand coherence and visual impact across print, digital, and environmental formats, resulting in a dynamic and engaging festival identity.
