Eyemoji, a Windows application, empowers streamers to enhance their audience engagement through interactive and personalized avatars. Streamers can choose from a diverse library of "Eyemojies" and customize them to create a unique broadcasting experience, fostering a connection with their viewers.
Challenge
This project involved developing a custom digital tool with no existing design references. We leveraged eye-tracking technology from Transfolio, but needed to establish everything else from the ground up:

Solution
To ensure a seamless experience for streamers, we conducted research focused on gamers and their typical streaming setups, particularly on platforms like Twitch. This research informed crucial design decisions, including:
Key functionalities: Defining core actions and settings for both streaming and offline scenarios.
Intuitive interface: Structuring the user interface with clear sections for registration, calibration, avatar selection (through a gallery categorized for easy browsing), messaging, and (in a future phase) accessing an online store.
Reward System: To encourage avatar usage, we implemented a gamification feature where streamers can earn in-app coins by using Eyemoji during their streams. These coins can be used to purchase additional sponsored accessories for their avatars, adding a layer of fun and customization.
