My focus is on getting to know the organization from the bottom up--including its current reach + audience. I get to work on an outline. Then I perform a thorough scrub of relevant research and push the gas pedal (keyboard keys, of course), and start crafting content that is both compelling and appealing to the target audience. Of course, I include SEO keywords and internal linking in a natural, conversational way--never in a forced way.
