My focus is on getting to know the organization from the bottom up--including its current reach + audience. I get to work on an outline. Then I perform a thorough scrub of relevant research and push the gas pedal (keyboard keys, of course), and start crafting content that is both compelling and appealing to the target audience. Of course, I include SEO keywords and internal linking in a natural, conservational way--never in a forced way.

Last, I run my professional editor's eyes over the article before submitting it to the client. If the article is accepted, then all is well. If edits are requested, I make them ASAP.
