Summary and Goal
Cellect is a performance improvement hardware and software solution for Energy Storage for Medium and Large capabilities. I had the opportunity to help them on 2 occasions, one by improving the interaction of one important feature to switch locations (responsive) and another by defining the whole Service Design process for the upcoming App. In both cases, I contributed to the User research, Architecture, and Interaction design. While barely contributing to the UI as they already had designers and developers in-house. However, I weekly contrasted all important decisions with the whole team.
Process
In my opinion, the App Architecture and wireframing project is more interesting so I'll detail its workflow. As I already had an understanding of the industry and the project's needs and players, I could go straight to the Architecture of the platform. I opened a FigJam file and started mapping the whole platform's Blueprint. I started with the general picture diagram, and once validated I broke down all inner processes (see detail). In the meantime I had to make a huge effort to understand all the data Visualization needs for each metric, the inner team helped me smooth the learning curve. While the Blueprint was being validated I took some time to research some competitors and gather some good practices in this industry's app solutions. Finally, I sketched all screens and graphs, and once validated I wireframed all screens to deliver a fully interactive prototype in Figma.
