In 2023, I participated in the federal competition of the Russian Federation "Young Design 23", where I took first place in the nomination “Segezha Map". Cosmos Hotel Group sponsored the nomination, and therefore the main task was to attract tourists to the city of Segezha, create an application with which you could get acquainted with the local sights of the city, as well as create souvenirs.

To attract tourists to the city of Segezha and the Cosmos Hotel, wich is located there, with the help of a new digital map of the city.

To develop an interactive tourist map of the city of Segezha, as well as souvenirs.

To begin with, I found and studied all the sights of Segezha, their location and features. After that, I started thinking about the graphic design of the map. I decided that the base of the map would be made of hexagons: this would give the map a modern look, reminiscent of the graphics of mobile games.

A small landscape has been created for each landmark.

The work of the site is that at the beginning you choose a landmark that you like, click on it and read its location and a brief description.

The idea to create a board game as a souvenir appeared for several reasons: firstly, the style of the "mobile game" was perfect for transferring to a board game. Secondly, such a souvenir is completely eco-friendly, since only cardboard and paper are used in its creation. Thirdly, the main industry of the city is paper production, as a result of which the costs of souvenir production were reduced.
