Website Redesign for Soura Film Festival

Soura is a queer film festival in Berlin spotlighting filmmakers from South West Asia and North Africa.
The site had grown across editions without a clear visual system. For the 5th edition, the festival needed visitors to find films, schedules, and events quickly, with a tight turnaround before opening night.

What I did
Refreshed the color palette from the edition's artwork to set a consistent visual hierarchy.
Merged redundant pages, reduced CTA clutter, and restructured individual film pages so visuals lead and text is easy to scan.
Compressed assets, cut plugin reliance, and built a lightweight CSS variable system for consistent spacing and typography without slowing down delivery.

Outcome
Performance score from 80 to 95. Visitors navigated the film programme easily, and the team was happy with both the visual and technical result.
