Project overview

Hummey is a honey brand designed to transform an everyday pantry staple into a playful and memorable experience. Rather than relying on traditional rustic aesthetics often associated with honey packaging, the brand embraces bold typography, character-driven illustrations, and vibrant colors to create a visual identity that feels approachable, contemporary, and full of personality.

The Challenge

The challenge was to design a honey brand that still communicates purity and natural ingredients while introducing a playful identity capable of standing out on retail shelves. The goal was not simply to design attractive packaging, but to build a memorable brand world that encourages curiosity and recognition.​​​​​​​

Illustration system

The illustration style is inspired by bold marker drawings, using simplified forms, expressive line work, and minimal details to create a distinctive visual language. Rather than illustrating honey literally, the character interacts with each ingredient through playful everyday moments. This keeps the artwork highly memorable while ensuring it scales consistently across packaging, motion graphics, stickers, and advertising.

Brand Photography

The photography combines cinematic lighting with playful compositions to present the product in a premium yet approachable way. Hyperrealistic imagery, rich honey textures, and subtle visual humor create campaign visuals that feel modern while staying true to the brand's personality.
