Developing Brand Identity for a Distillery

In the world of craft beverages, standing out from the crowd can be a challenge. Established brands often rely on familiar aesthetics, creating a sense of comfort and tradition for their consumers.

This was the challenge I faced when I was rebranding Rocket Hop Distillery. For this Uni project turned passion project, I wanted to create a sophisticated and distinctive identity that would set them apart in the competitive market while still retaining the essence of their brand.

My first step was to conceptualize a logo that would capture the essence of Rocket Hop's brand identity. I knew I needed to move away from the typical imagery associated with distilleries, such as rustic fonts, barley illustrations, and copper stills.

Instead, I opted for a modern and minimalist approach. The logo I created utilized clean lines and a unique typeface to convey a sense of sophistication and elegance. This visual language aimed to attract a broader audience who might not typically be drawn to traditional distillery branding.

The logo was just the first step. I then translated this sophisticated aesthetic into the design of Rocket Hop's website. The website featured high-quality visuals showcasing the distillery's process and products, alongside informative and engaging content that educated potential customers about the brand's story and philosophy. Extending the sophisticated brand identity across online platforms, I created social media mockups that mirrored the website's design. These mockups utilized eye-catching visuals, like high-quality product shots and behind-the-scenes glimpses, to draw attention. Paired with concise and engaging captions that highlighted the brand story and product offerings, these mockups aimed to spark conversation with potential customers and build a strong online community around Rocket Hop Distillery.
