Built Persist, an AI-informed Household Operating System that makes invisible labor visible and helps families and employers share the mental load more fairly.
Overview:
Modern families (and the employers who support them) were burning out under unseen domestic work. I delivered the product vision and execution for Persist, a web-native OS that surfaces “CareLoad,” guides collaborative household alignment, and provides ongoing behavioral shifts without shame or overwhelm.
Creative process & problem solved:
Starting from the core insight that overwhelm isn’t disorganization but an invisible system gap, I mapped user mental loads, built a gentle onboarding + CareLoad assessment, layered in personalized guidance via “Tali,” and created progress tracking so shifts become visible. This turned nebulous emotional/operational friction into actionable system changes.
Role, methods, tools & milestones:
Led product implementation of the Household OS for families and employer partners.
Designed and shipped the CareLoad assessment to quantify invisible labor.
Built the guidance experience (“Tali”) to offer supportive next steps.
Implemented progress visualization and employer-facing integrations to reduce burnout and boost retention.
Launched the MVP, iterated with real users, and scaled to 4,000+ families.
Impact:
Over 4,000 families transformed their household equity and clarity; employer partners gain a retention lever by supporting life-beyond-work.
Audience, tone & style:
Target: modern caregiving couples and forward-thinking employers; tone: empathetic, empowering, system-focused.
Timeline & requirements:
Launched back in 2023 after a few months, and been working with the team since as Lead developer and fractional CTO since.
