Chequered space
Context This series was created for the fifth of five lectures I illustrated within a university course on urban experience. The lecture explored themes around heritage, adaptive reuse, urban boundaries and the relationships between buildings and public space.
My role I developed the visual concept and illustrations for the lecture, translating abstract urban ideas into playful architectural scenes and expressive building characters.
Outcome The final illustrations gave the lecture a clear and memorable visual language, helping make complex ideas about reuse, heritage and urban relationships easier to understand and discuss.
