Echo is a conceptual brand — a budding tech startup with a vision to revolutionize urban transportation by offering a more sustainable ridesharing service. Their innovative business model involves drivers renting eco-friendly vehicles from Echo, ensuring a consistent and environmentally conscious experience for riders and drivers alike.

The brand challenge: gridlocked

Echo faced a significant challenge in entering a market dominated by powerful, well-established brands. To compete effectively and attract dedicated early adopters, Echo needed to launch with a polished brand identity that instilled trust and a sense of reliability while showcasing their commitment to sustainability.

The solution: training a challenger

Through our Brand Kickstart process, we crafted a polished, modern brand identity that positioned Echo as a formidable challenger in a saturated market. The brand was keenly tuned to resonate with Echo's target audience of future-oriented early adopters.

Our strategy workshops uncovered Echo's core essence — a transparent, passionate, and future-oriented brand personality with a penchant for progress. We also identified two viable early adopter segments: young urban mavericks and older suburban futurists, both valuing technology and ethics. For drivers, Echo targets those eager to stay ahead of the curve: ambitious self-directors who closely track their own success.

The visual ID: emphasizing connection

Building upon the core strategy, Echo's visual identity emphasizes connection and ethics through a blend of digital and organic elements. The clean, type-centric visual language is designed to feel premium while placing their messaging at the forefront.

Connecting with Echo's tech-savvy, ethically-minded early adopters required striking a balance between a youthful, relatable tone and a passionate focus on the company's mission. Through casual language, clean copy styling, and benefit-driven taglines, we encouraged users to feel good about choosing Echo's sustainable rideshare experience.

Crucially, we highlighted the shared values and aspirations between Echo and their users. By leveraging an authentic, purpose-driven narrative voice, we enrolled users in Echo's mission while positioning the brand as the ethical, innovative choice for conscientious consumers seeking sustainable lifestyles and a cutting edge experience.
