BlocMeet — The Decentralized Event Hub for the Web3 Community
About the Project
BlocMeet is an all-in-one event management platform designed specifically for the Web3 ecosystem. It bridges the gap between digital assets and physical networking, allowing organizers to host, market, and manage blockchain-focused conferences, workshops, and hackathons. The goal was to build a seamless end-to-end experience where "The Decentralized World Meets," providing tools for smart ticketing, crypto payments, and real-time event analytics. Role: UI/UX Designer · Tags: UI/UX Designer · Web3 Product Designer · Framer Expert

The Problem

The Web3 event space is notoriously fragmented. Currently, there is no single, central destination for crypto-native events. Information is scattered across disparate Telegram channels, X (Twitter) threads, and obscure Discord servers, leading to:
The "Discovery Gap": Enthusiasts often miss out on key networking opportunities simply because they didn't know they were happening.
Fragmented Trust: Without a central hub, it's difficult for attendees to verify the legitimacy of an event before committing funds.
Organizer Isolation: Creators lack a unified platform to reach a global audience, forcing them to rely on expensive, non-native marketing tools that don't understand the Web3 audience.

That is a massive pain point in the industry. Most organizers are scattered across Twitter (X), Telegram, and Discord, making it nearly impossible for a newcomer or even a pro to keep track.
I’ve updated the The Problem and The Goal sections below to lean heavily into that "Single Source of Truth" narrative. This makes the case study much more compelling because it highlights a clear market gap you’re filling.

The Goal

We decided to solve the fragmentation problem by building the "Global Web3 Event Hub." The objective was to design a visually stunning, investor-ready platform that:
Centralizes Discovery: Acts as the single "source of truth" for all crypto events globally, from local meetups to major conferences like Ethereum Dev Con.
Simplifies the Event Lifecycle: Creates a unified flow from "Smart Ticketing" to "Instant Check-in."
Empowers Creators: Provides a robust dashboard for organizations like Bitcoin Conference Inc. to manage global tours and track $247k+ in revenue from one seat.
Standardizes Trust: Uses a cohesive system of ratings, recaps, and verified organizer profiles to build community confidence.

My Role

As the Lead UI/UX Designer & Framer Expert, I was responsible for:
Product Strategy: Mapping the user journey for both Event Creators and Attendees to ensure the "single hub" felt intuitive.
Visual Identity & UI Design: Creating a sleek, dark-themed "Web3" aesthetic that balances high-tech innovation with professional reliability.
Dashboard Architecture: Designing complex data visualizations for revenue and attendee tracking.
Interactive Prototyping: Building the responsive web experience in Framer to ensure a world-class feel across all devices.

Design Approach

I approached this project as a Solution-First ecosystem, not just a website.
Unified Navigation: I designed the "Discover Events" portal to be the heart of the platform, using advanced filtering (Category, Date, Price) to make finding any crypto event effortless.
Social Proof Integration: By including "Event Recaps" with photos and attendee comments, I turned the platform into a living history of the Web3 movement.
Streamlined Creator Flow: To encourage organizers to migrate to our hub, I designed the "Create Event" interface to be faster and more crypto-friendly than any "Web2" alternative.
Visual Harmony: Used a consistent blue-accented palette and geometric grid systems to echo the structural nature of blockchain.

Key Elements Designed

The Global Event Hub: A high-impact landing page featuring upcoming events and categorized discovery.
Creator Dashboard: An analytics-heavy interface showing $247k+ revenue snapshots and rating systems.
Smart Ticketing UI: Seamless layouts for ticket pricing, crypto payment selection, and digital check-ins.
Event Recap Pages: A dedicated space for galleries, attendee comments, and post-event growth metrics.
Mobile-Responsive Design: Ensuring the platform works perfectly for on-the-ground check-ins at physical venues.

Outcome & Impact

Centralized the Market: Successfully designed a system capable of hosting 10k+ events across 100+ countries, finally giving the community a home base.
Massive User Adoption: Created a UI that scales to support a community of 50k+ active members.
Proven Revenue Model: Built the Creator Hub which has successfully tracked over $247k in revenue for top-tier organizers.
Brand Authority: Positioned BlocMeet as the definitive "Decentralized Event Hub," solving the search-and-discovery friction for thousands of users.
Reflection
This project reaffirmed that the biggest barrier to Web3 adoption is often accessibility. By solving the problem of fragmentation, BlocMeet does more than just sell tickets—it builds the infrastructure for the future of networking. The challenge wasn't just making a "pretty" site; it was building a destination that the entire industry could rely on as their primary source of truth.
The Web3 space moves too fast for messy interfaces and scattered data. You need a design that commands attention and a system that actually works for your creators. I’ve got the proof of work and the strategy to make it happen—let’s chat and see if we’re a fit to build something world-class together."
