Overview

The Future Label is a creative studio from New York that connects creators with big multi-national brands. They work with brands like Heineken, Red Bull, Coachella and Patrón to realize the ideas of big marketing departments and cut costs by the use of small, worldwide creators.
I have been given the challenge to create their brand identity and design / build their entire website which has been such an amazing project.

Approach

We started this project with a rather straightforward branding sprint. We went over the strategy behind the different pillars of the brand. We branded it as Unbound, Foundry and Labs. We combined AI imagery and a clean wordmark to show off these different pillars turning the Future Label in a world, not just a brand.
Foundry:
Foundry is a creative studio that turns ambitious ideas into reality. It connects bold brand visions with the right creators, materials, and processes to build what others think is impossible. Rooted in craftsmanship and action, Foundry is where raw concepts are forged into tangible, impactful experiences proving that creativity reaches its full power only when it becomes real.
Unbound:
Unbound is a creative community of independent thinkers who create without limits. It brings together designers and artists driven by freedom, experimentation, and collaboration where raw ideas become cultural expressions. Unbound stands for creative liberation, challenging norms and shaping culture by setting trends, not following them.
Labs:
Labs is an innovation space where experimentation becomes progress. It explores bold ideas through design, engineering, and scientific precision turning prototypes into breakthroughs. Driven by curiosity and impact, Labs exists to build what doesn’t yet exist and push the future forward through invention.

Creating a world..

We wanted to show the Future Label world in each of our creations. That is why we chose for an experimental navigation. Once entered in the site, you will see the exact representation of this world. The Future Label's icon in the middle with all the different pillars around it.

Collective (Unbound)

For the collective page we built out a community felt page where you as a creator can join the network of small creators from across the globe. The goal is to build a network of these creators to lower the costs of marketing agencies through smaller creators.

Studio (Foundry)

For the Foundry page we wanted to let the work speak for itself. We want to give a brief explanation about the process and how The Future Label works, but other than that, we didn't want to provide too much information before diving into the projects. We tried to merge the portfolio items into the site with lots of space to grow for more projects. We have made 2 different lay-outs for project sections once they'll expand!

Labs (Coming Soon)

Labs is the experimental design arm of The Future Label, bringing their own ideas to live through physical products. The goal is to create different objects from different materials and sell a small amount of products through their website. We designed a on-brand webshop Coming Soon teaser page which has great potential to grow out into a full, design first, webshop!

Challenges

The biggest challenge for this project was to work from two perspectives. We wanted the brand to look super premium and accessible for high-end multinational brands while at the same time seeming approachable in terms of budget, possibilities and creator network. When we received the briefing on what The Future Label actually is, we saw the potential in this brand really becoming its own world with endless possibilities to grow in production, design, supply chain and project management.
Going down the road of having multiple pillars was an amazing approach for that. We could categorize these pillars to show the differences and also work this through in tone of voice and photography.
We are super happy with this project! Starting March we will be nominating this website at multiple different design awards, so a vote would mean a lot! ✨
