Welcome to this epic Saga of Cool-T Store: A Journey from Zero to Hero on Instagram! 🎉

Step right up and behold the thrilling tale of Cool-T Store, a beacon of style and swagger in the tumultuous landscape of online commerce! Picture this: the year is 2020, and the world is gripped by the clutches of the notorious COVID-19 pandemic. But amidst the chaos, a bold entrepreneur emerged, armed with nothing but a dream and a penchant for fashionable threads. (That's me)

I opened an Instagram account from scratch focused on organic marketing strategies, targeting potential customers located in Canada and the U.S. 

As an organic marketer, my approach emphasized building authentic connections and engagement with the audience, also deeply researching competitors in the t-shirt business, and observing and analyzing the hashtag strategies they were using, observing what kind of language copy they were using towards their audiences. Here I learned from trial and error how to identify your avatar buyer. I was also outreaching and sending DM's to potential clients.

Aside from doing organic marketing, I was also working on creating content and also visual content. I created the logo, at first, it was a different one, and I changed it. I also played with the color palettes and discovered what is the right typography that is relevant to the brand. I was also designing the t-shirts using Canva, Photoshop, and a tool called Placeit. I identified my visual content using these three colors: yellow, black, and white.

Goal: To get customers to purchase online t-shirts

Problem: At first the account didn't have any followers, any interactions or any likes.

Solution: engaging, understanding the buyers, using relevant hashtags, following accounts, and constantly posting.

Results: In only one month I went from 0 to 758 followers. After constantly engaging with accounts, using proper hashtags, and constantly posting. I started getting a few DM's, and I organically in the first month made TWO SELLS just only doing organic marketing.

Personal Feedback: To focus on one niche, in this case, I was selling t-shirts for travellers, COVID people staying at home, entrepreneurs, and motivational quote shirts, because that confuses the algorithm. Also, do not create content with aggressive sales, but create content and a community that will add value, until hitting a certain amount of followers, a minimum of 5,000. The algorithm doesn't like it!

In one month the account went from 0 followers, 0 interactions, and a few likes to 881 followers, a minimum 150 likes per photo. How did that happen? Using proper hashtag strategies, engaging with the target audience, constantly posting, and observing the competitors.
