UX/UI Design for Latvia’s National COVID-19 Vaccination Platform

ManaVakcina was the centralized COVID-19 vaccination registration platform for the whole country. Citizens used it to register, choose vaccination slots, track their application status and find healthcare guidelines.

I created the complete visual side of the platform, from first sketches to final screens for desktop, tablet and mobile, and handed it over to the development team, who built the frontend.

Designed clear step-by-step registration flows, an interactive location map, status tracking dashboards and FAQ sections.

Created a responsive design system with layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile, so every citizen could use it.

Reduced cognitive load in a stressful public health situation with prominent call-to-action buttons, status indicators and short, simple forms.

Design an accessible, reliable interface for the entire population using it at the same time, without friction or confusion.

Simplify multi-step registration, priority group verification, vaccination location mapping and appointment management for all age groups.

Build trust and clarity: an authoritative yet reassuring look, with clean layouts and high-contrast readability.
