As the Founding Designer, we built a mobile-first reimbursement platform for out-of-network healthcare that simplified the process into 3 steps: snap superbill photo, Better files claim, patient receives reimbursement. Created camera-first UI with real-time progress tracking, tested prototypes with patients, and built a design system across patient app, provider tools, pitch decks, and marketing materials.

Results

Results Reduced claim filing from hours to seconds. Significant drop in support tickets related to submissions. Improved patient trust through transparent communication and simplified insurance jargon. Enabled providers to retain out-of-network patients who previously avoided care due to reimbursement complexity.
