From print and signage to a three‑screen LED wall, a 360° summit experience built to stay beautiful, clear and editable under real‑world pressure
Samaipata’s Annual Summit is their flagship event. It's the one time each year they bring founders, LPs and partners into the same room to talk about the European VC market. They arrive with a lot to say: 120+ slides of reports, charts and market maps, all of which need to land clearly on a three‑screen LED stage, on a tight timeline.
That’s where the friction was:
Slides that looked fine on a laptop but didn't work across three large screens with an audience.
A 10+ person team making last‑minute edits, constantly breaking layouts and version control.
Partners and the AV crew working from different files, increasing the risk of on‑stage mistakes.
Previous decks built in InDesign, which didn’t fit the AV setup and once had to be rebuilt overnight before a key meeting.
For a values‑led VC that trades on clarity and trust, that gap between intention and experience was too big.
I worked with the team to design a solution in 3 parts.
Story: Rebuilt the keynote from scratch in a single PowerPoint master and set up a straightforward workflow so everyone could work on the right version without treading on each other’s toes.
System: Designed a modular library of fully editable templates – titles, data, speaker intros, panels, timers – with clear hierarchy for different content types, so the team could keep tweaking right up to doors‑open without breaking the design.
Technical Setup: Worked directly from the specs of the three‑screen LED wall, creating layouts for centre‑screen focus, full‑width spreads and side‑screen supporting data, and checked everything with the AV crew to make sure it was legible and production‑ready.
The result is a 360° summit and deck system that moves at the speed of last‑minute VC changes, without losing clarity – and that now evolves each year with new themes, animation and print/digital collateral to match.

The stage set up could work with the screens spread further apart - that was the beauty of having the technical knowledge to work with the AV team. I was able to design the set up in a more flexible way.

Europe's thriving VC ecosystem data design
Prior to my work with the fund, the deck relied on lots of white background slides, which I quickly redesigned, as the brightness of the LED was uncomfortable for the audience. Now we only work with dark backgrounds.
Multiple templated designs to cover complex content needs
Live video set up on central screen incorporated into design
The stage design is done in such a way that the section of the presentation is always shown on the left screen and the current speaker on the right. All the speaker's content is shown on the centre screen, as well as other elements, such as live chats, videos and animations.
