The work behind the show
A live performance involves more than the setlist. Dates, musicians, rehearsals, fees and client requirements all need to come together. I created BandWith to bring that operational work into a mobile product for bands and musicians.
I have led the project from the initial idea through UX/UI, the visual system and development. This case study focuses on the product structure and interface design. BandWith is a real product in development and has not yet been publicly released.
An overview that leads to action
The dashboard puts confirmed gigs, upcoming rehearsals and quotes alongside the band’s working resources. An action center provides entry points to repertoire, band members, gear and documents.
Admin and member views, together with a band-switching identity hub, account for musicians working across different groups and responsibilities.
Making the next gig easier to read
The event experience connects scheduling with the practical details of a performance: venue, load-in, soundcheck, show time, setlist, lineup and fees. Calendar filters separate gigs, rehearsals, quotes and drafts.
The interface uses strong typographic hierarchy, category colors and repeated capsule indicators to organize these different types of information. The goal is to help musicians find the next relevant action within a dense operational product.
From brief to booking
The quotation flow breaks a complex task into a guided sequence: client and event essentials, musical moments, billing details and a final summary.
Performance configuration accounts for different moments within an event, such as a ceremony, cocktail hour or party. The design brings instrumentation, duration and pricing into that process, followed by additional costs, deposits and payment terms.
A guided quotation flow: essentials, musical moments and billing. Design-stage screens with sample data.
One visual language across the product
Warm neutral surfaces support everyday navigation, acid lime identifies gigs, electric blue differentiates rehearsals and taupe gives quotations their own context. Bold type and a repeated dot-and-capsule motif connect dashboard indicators, selection states and event details.
Current stage
Started in spring 2026. Product design and development are ongoing; the product is not yet publicly released. The screens shown are design-stage views with illustrative data. Amounts, event counts and percentages inside the UI are sample content, not measured product results.
