Extending the safe space for women and children to the web

Dixon Transition Society helps to reduce the impact of domestic violence by providing a safe haven for women and children.

Goal

Recognizing 50 years of service, Dixon Transition Society decides to give their brand a refresh through a logo and website revamp.
Their goal is to position themselves as leaders in their field, supporting diversity and empowerment of women and children. They want their brand to have a prominent, timeless and vibrant look.
Using impactful storytelling, they want to share inspiring stories of change and hope that align with their vision of a world where “Women and children are free from violence”.

Result

After a thorough discovery session and reviewing design options, we settled on a clean, modern style and a logo that uses symmetry and bold colours.
Since the visitor may be a victim of domestic violence, the new site prioritizes visitor comfort and safety. We do this by including:
A pop-up with instructions on clearing browser history.
A quick exit button that opens a new window to hide the original page.
Friendly greetings in multiple languages to welcome all visitors.
Easy-to-use navigation and positive imagery.
The result is a website that reflects the caring approach of Dixon Transition Society.
The new logo is an abstract image of both a butterfly and a lotus. Both these images symbolize transformation.

"We were amazed by the artistic skill and knowledge that went into creating our new and improved logo, and were appreciative of her guidance while we rebuilt our brand.

Tiffany’s experience and dedication were invaluable in transforming our online presence and brand identity. Thanks to Tiffany, our website not only looks amazing but functions flawlessly. Tiffany went above and beyond to understand our needs, and delivered results that exceeded our expectations. We were amazed by the artistic skill and knowledge that went into creating our new and improved logo, and were appreciative of her guidance while we rebuilt our brand. From the get-go, Tiffany always offered a helping hand and went the extra mile to incorporate various helpful features on our site. Even after the project was completed, Tiffany continues to check-in on our website and reach out to make sure we have all the information we need to smoothly operate the website moving forward. She even sat down with us and walked us through a technical step-by-step for WordPress! I highly recommend Tiffany to help you or your organization on your next project."
