Website design for a blockchain-powered supply chain platform. Decentralized collaboration, real-time tracking, and tamper-proof document exchange for businesses of any size.

The Problem

Obortech builds a blockchain-powered Smart Hub that connects supply chain actors through IoT tracking, tamper-proof document exchange, and a decentralized marketplace. The platform integrates blockchain, AI, and IoT into one ecosystem, backed by partners like Microsoft, PwC, and the World Bank. They needed a website that could communicate a technically dense product to a broad audience: logistics operators, farmers, retailers, banks, and end consumers.

Starting Point

The product itself is complex: multiple layers (blockchain, IoT sensors, AI analytics, decentralized governance) serving very different stakeholders across the supply chain. The challenge was translating that complexity into a web experience that feels approachable without dumbing anything down.

Process

I started by mapping the information architecture around Obortech's core value propositions: traceability, real-time visibility, secure document sharing, and the decentralized marketplace. Each needed its own space without fragmenting the narrative.
The visual direction leaned into tech credibility: dark tones, clean data visualizations, and structured layouts that mirror the precision of the product itself. I designed the partner and press sections to build trust quickly, since blockchain projects live or die on perceived legitimacy.
For the Smart Hub features, I created modular sections that could explain each capability (blockchain communication, document exchange, IoT tracking, marketplace) independently while maintaining a cohesive scroll experience.

Result

The final design covers the full marketing site: hero section, ecosystem overview, Smart Hub feature breakdown, partner grid, press mentions, awards, and contact. The layout scales from the high-level pitch to granular product detail without losing the visitor along the way.

Conclusion

Designing for blockchain means fighting abstraction at every turn. The goal was making a technically sophisticated product feel tangible and trustworthy through structure, hierarchy, and restraint.
