Svoboda nás spojuje (“Freedom Connects Us”) was a nationwide campaign created to mark the 35th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution in the Czech Republic. The campaign was communicated through outdoor advertising and social media.

Challenge

The project was especially challenging and rewarding because Díky, že můžem underwent a major rebranding in September 2024, just a few months before the campaign launch. I worked with a newly introduced visual identity created by Najbrt Studio, one of the leading graphic design studios in the Czech Republic. This was the first time applying a completely new brand identity in a large-scale campaign, and my goal was to use the full potential of the rebranding. As the campaign was meant to be bold and visible, I focused on delivering the visuals with maximum impact and attention to detail.

Visual Concept

The visual concept was based on photography showing connections between people from different demographic groups, emphasizing unity, diversity, and shared values.

Design Approach

Although the new brand identity introduced a bold and vivid color palette, I aimed to keep the visuals clear, minimal, and easy to read, allowing the message and photography to stay in focus.

Social Media

For social media, I designed a combination of pure color-based visuals and photo-driven content, adapting the campaign to digital formats while maintaining visual consistency across all outputs.

Emergency Communication

Large public events come with significant responsibility. For this reason, we prepared a clear communication approach for social media to ensure a fast, calm, and reliable response in case of emergencies.

Final Note

I worked at Díky, že můžem for three years, and Korzo Národní was always especially close to my heart. Being part of this initiative for such a long time allowed me to grow alongside the organization and truly understand the values it stands for. Working on this campaign felt deeply personal. It pushed me to grow as a designer, take on greater responsibility, and approach design not only as a visual task, but as a tool for meaningful public communication.
