I have had a chance to previously work with brands in positions of a video editor, content writer as well as getting to lead multiple social media teams. Even tough I have immensely enjoyed performing all these roles there was always a part of me that wanted more workspace independence and control. I had an offer letter in hand for a reputed company offering me a great position with a decent pay. It was around the time when I was seriously considering freelancing full time but knew it was not an easy journey.I made up my mind and decided to quit corporate.Yes I was nervous but I knew I had all the essential skills to get to where I wanted to be. I had full faith in my talent and at times when there was no one to cheer me up, I made sure to me my biggest cheerleader.
Its been a couple of years since I chose to freelance full time and I am a hundred percent happy with my decision. I have also joined freelancing platforms that allow me to connect to clients all around the world.
Recently I have taken up work from countries like Germany and Australia and have been able to help creators to edit their video content as well as scale their business online with different marketing techniques and SEO optimization.
With reports coming out of different surveys being conducted a large percentage of the youth does not want to return back to their offices and would rather work from the comfort of their home and if not given an option would rather quit than attend work physically. It is quite prominent that these people are actively looking into the freelancing career. This opens up new opportunities not only for the new freelancers but also helps the existing community members by increasing demand.
