Student housing around eight Egyptian universities, designed to start from the city instead of a search form. Students arrive not knowing the city, the going rate, or whether they can trust a room they have never seen. A list of beds doesn't help someone who doesn't yet know where they should live.
The idea
The first screen is a map of the real streets around the campus with one question on it: where will you live?
What I did
UX and UI design, UX writing in Arabic and English, interaction and motion, and the front-end.
Key decisions
Minutes, not kilometres: every area is measured in minutes to the university gate, the way a student would really go.
The budget is honest: it adds a month of transport to the rent, so the map answers "where can I afford?" first.
Filters sit on the map, and the signs update as they change.
Arabic first, right to left, with a full English version.

Self-initiated project. Areas, routes and metro stations are real, from OpenStreetMap. Listings, advertisers and photos are samples. Designed in Figma with Claude.
